The Perch
Sleeps 2 · 1 bedroom · 1 bathroom · Wood burner · Private hot tub · Fire pit · Adults only · No pets
Built for two
Perched for one of the best views in mid Wales.
The Perch is a single, beautifully crafted A-frame cabin set high on the hillside above a quiet valley. From the moment you step onto the deck, the view does the talking. Rolling hills, ancient woodland, sheep moving across the fields opposite and at night, a sky thick with stars.
Inside, every detail has been thought through. Sleek timber walls catch the light. A wood burner anchors the living space. A clever space-saving staircase leads up to a mezzanine bedroom under the rafters, where Velux windows turn night-time into a private planetarium.
Inside the cabin
A warm, light-filled retreat.

Living space
Open-plan and full of light, with a sofa positioned to take in the view through floor-to-ceiling bifold doors. A wood burner anchors the room, it's the soft, flickering centrepiece of every evening. There's generous wood panelling throughout.

Kitchen
Compact but properly equipped - a clear cut above the usual glamping galley. Four-ring induction hob, electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière, undercounter fridge with small freezer. Pots, pans, crockery, glassware and good knives provided.

Bedroom
A king-size bed on the mezzanine, reached by a steep alternating-tread ladder staircase. Velux windows above the bed are made for stargazing and for waking gently to the morning light. With crisp fresh bed linen and a mattress that earns a mention in the guest book.

Bathroom
Spacious, with a powerful walk-in electric shower, stone basin, flushing toilet and heated towel rail. Bath robes, towels, and natural shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided.
Outside the cabin
Where most of your days will happen.
The deck
Generous, raised, west-facing across the valley. A bistro table for breakfasts, the hot tub at one end, and a sweep of view that changes with every shift in the weather.
Private hot tub
Heated to a steady 38°C, included in every stay and ready from the moment you arrive. We check it discreetly twice a day to keep it pristine.
Fire pit & BBQ
Just below the deck, set up for slow evenings under the sky. BBQ tools tucked in the kitchen drawer. Firewood for the fire pit is £10 per bag (cash, please).
The setting
Seven and a half acres of wild Welsh smallholding - foxgloves, ferns, ancient trees, rolling hills. Red kites, buzzards, deer, foxes, owls, bats, butterflies and bees share the valley with you.
